My new found interest in food and product photography: fresh produce!

I dedicate this food and product photography blog post to fresh produce because there are something about fresh and raw food right off the market that melts my butter. All of these images were taken in my photo excursion with COMM 316, Professional Imaging at Sky Mountain Lodge. Each of us brought some fresh produce to photograph. Since it’s not right off the market, the produce wasn’t as fresh as I wanted it to be. However, some of these images turned out well. I used some LED lights and natural lights to get most of these images.

My roommate really like the pistachio image but he thought I should brighten that up a little bit. Photographing food and products indoor needs a lot more light than you would think.

Here’s some tips about lighting technique for this type of photography by Stormcast.

Strawberries vs. Lemon and Lime. Lindsey Lefevre liked my idea of black and white cutting board because it’s distract from the subject when it’s in color.
