I really want to focus on the data this week so that I can get an idea of what icons I need to vectorize. Below is some information that I think I will include in my infographic about Vietnam.

  • Vietnam is the largest exporter of cashews in the world.It is the world’s second largest rice importer (2014)
  • Official Language: Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt)
  • Capital: Hanoi, second largest and populated city. (7 million people)
  • Distribution of Family Names in Vietnam (see graph 1A)
  • Although Vietnam is a developing country, it has a literacy rate of 94%.
  • An estimated ten million motor bikes travel on the roads of Vietnam every day.
  • Coastline: 3,444 km = 2140 miles (excludes islands)
  • Area total: 331,210 sq km = 127880 sq miles
  • Population: 94,348,835 (2015)
  • Religions: Buddhist 9.3%, Catholic 6.7%, Hoa Hao 1.5%, Cao Dai 1.1%, Protestant 0.5%, Muslim 0.1%, None 80.8% (1999 census)
  • World’s Famous for “Pho” – national cusine.

After I went through my Pinterest Board, I finally decided on the kind of look I want my infographic to be. I love this infographic about Zambia because of how clean and simple it is. Because everything on this layout is white, I don’t think I will need a color scheme anymore.
